Ever found yourself disconnecting during intimacy without knowing why?
You’re not alone.
For years, I had no idea that my body had been running on deeply programmed flight, freeze, and fawn responses in my sexual interactions. I thought I was fine, but in actuality I was consistently -- though unconsciously -- running people-pleasing patterns when I engaged with others sexually. The other reality was that no amount of consent based exercises, intellectual understanding about trauma, or ideas around “just relax and enjoy it” could override the way my nervous system was reacting.
Because I didn’t understand what was happening both with others and in the many programs I did looking for “sexual healing,” I gaslit myself.
“You should want to do this. There’s nothing wrong here. Just push through the resistance.”
But I learned the hard way that pushing through just doesn’t work.
When our system is in flight, freeze, or fawn, we’re not actually here. We’re somewhat dissociated, out of touch with our body and its responses, going through the motions without attunement, agency or choice. And when we override our own boundaries—especially unconsciously—we erode the very self-trust that makes deep intimacy possible.
🌙🌙 This workshop is about understanding those responses, untangling them, and learning how to reconnect with yourself so that you can navigate intimacy from a place of choice, connection and presence.

→ How flight, freeze & fawn responses show up in our sexual dynamics
From dissociation to people-pleasing, we’ll unpack the ways these responses shape our experiences and decisions—often without us even realizing it.
These patterns have a logic, a function—and when we bring awareness to them, we can start making different choices.
→ The unconscious habits that keep us disconnected
Why do we override our own needs? Why do we stay in dynamics that don’t actually serve us? Why does “just communicate your boundaries” often feel impossible? Often there’s so much shame around these things.
In this space, we will work towards making this all make sense and taking the blame out of the equation.
→ Rebuilding self-trust & safety within
The fact is that pushing yourself into something “different” won’t work. Shame won’t work. Pretending you don’t have these patterns won’t work. What does work is learning how to attune to your system, honor what’s real and alive, and moving at a pace that actually feels safe for you (and not for another).
→ Moving towards authentic intimacy
Pleasure, desire, connection—without dissociation. What does it mean to stay with yourself while engaging with another? How can we navigate intimacy without abandoning ourselves? These are questions we will explore together.
